Grand Canyon of Arizona is true wonder of Natural World and one of personal all-time favorite places on this planet. Developed South Rim is much more popular but North Rim (seasonally closed during the winter) is just as nice. There are countless hiking opportunities ranging from few hours stroll along the rim to multi-day backpacks deep into the canyon. Winter, late Fall/early Spring are optimal times for venturing to Colorado River because of summer months heat.
