Panama was the last country visited on grand Central-American crossing, and in certain aspect it was "save the best for last" - at least the capital, Panama City. It started with infamous border crossing via old railway bridge from Costa Rica. World famous Bocas Del Toro archipelago was simply not my cup of tea, but Boquete in Panama Highlands definitely was. I skipped Santa Catalina Beach & went straight to Panama City which was the right call as it provided extra couple of days to explore this fantastic city. Three main areas left ever-lasting impression:

1) Panama Canal at Miraflores locks
2) Casco Viejo
3) Amador Causeway

This was as far south as I went; I wish I could have continued to see Darien National Park on border with Columbia -- only break in Pan-American highway and one of most inhospitable places on the planet; unfortunately trip logistics were against.
